We do our best to ensure every child feels comfortable and confident, and we are never in a hurry on picture day.

We take our time to ensure we snap the perfect picture of your child.

How Does Picture Day Work?

United Portraits and your school set a pre-determined schedule for picture day. This ensures that each class has plenty of time to photograph, and there is no rush! This results in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, thus giving you a better portrait.

Classes will arrive at the photo center at their assigned time to check in and practice their smiles. Our friendly staff takes extra care to ensure that hair is in the right place, and clothing is on straight. Each child is then given ample time with our photographers to capture the best photo possible. Shortly after picture day, you will receive an order form with your child's proofs. Simply pick your favorite, and return you order to school by the deadline printed on the top of your proof sheet. You can choose to have your order delivered back to the school, or sent directly to you!

How to Look Your Best:

It's important to first tell you what NOT to wear! NO shades of green should be worn for picture day. We use green-screen technology, which means when you wear green, you become invisible to our cameras. Thinking of trying a new hairstyle? Sometimes, it's best to wait until after picture day, since it often takes time to adapt to styling your new "do." We also suggest staying out of the sun for few days. Sunburns and red spots don't always present the best you.

Get The Best Photo Possible:

You want your child to be the focus of their photo, so keep it simple with solid clothing color, and avoid complex patterns. Our green-screen technology allows you to choose an abundance of different backgrounds, based on the colors your child is wearing. Attire with graphics or logos may get cut off based on the pose your child is given, so we recommend avoiding those too.

DO wash up nice, wear clean clothing, and most of all: bring your best smile!
